Stirling University Innovation Park, Logie Court

THE WORKS:

Logie Court is the fourth phase of Stirling Universities Innovation Park and provides a highly specified 2 storey building comprising 2770m2 of self contained technology units. Appropriate car parking areas have also been provided.

The project was undertaken on a design and construct basis with The ERDC Group employment of the Architect, Structural Mechanical and Electrical Engineers and the Landscape Architect.

The building was designed in plan view in a curve of approximately 110m radius and has a variety of high quality external finishes from an upstanding seam roof with composite fascia panels to planar glass, facing brick and terracotta rainscreen panels. There is also a composite Aluminium and timber double glazed curtain walling system. Construction is primarily an structural steelwork columnar frame supported by concrete pad foundations.

The landscaping around the building had to take cognisance of two 250 year old oak trees and incorporates new hedging and semi nature oaks in keeping with the existing University environs.
