THE WORKS:
A redevelopment of the Marine Laboratories at Dunstaffnage, near Oban, creating 5855 sq meters of laboratory, office and library accommodation.
This £9.3m project provides a spectacular 3 storey lab complex with an intensive M&E content con-joined by a common conference and library link to a new 2 storey building; the European Centre for Marine Biotechnology.
This project was completed in an area of outstanding natural beauty and the design was sympathetic to the environmentally sensitive nature of the site.
