ERDC BUILDING BRIDGES

The Civil Engineering Division has been awarded two new contracts, both of which involve bridge construction:

Work is already in progress on part demolition of an existing railway bridge at Crowwood Drive, Airdrie, to be replaced with what is effectively a new bridge in preparation for construction of the new Airdrie-Bathgate rail link.  The Client is North Lanarkshire Council, and work will be completed in early Autumn 2009.

A further contract has been awarded, this time by South Lanarkshire Council, to construct a new bridge over the Earnock Burn at Lady Watson Gardens, Hamilton.  The new bridge will replace an existing culvert, as a flood relief measure.  Work will start in late July, with completion in late Autumn 2009.

ERDC is delighted to have secured these contracts, particularly as both involve renewing our relationships with existing clients.
