MORE NEW CONTRACT AWARDS FOR ERDC

The Civil Engineering division of ERDC has secured three new contracts.

Work is already underway on a new car-park for HSBC First Direct Bank in Hamilton, with completion programmed for April. Yet to start on site is a contract awarded by the City of Edinburgh Council to reconstruct three culverts on the busy A70, a main arterial road into the city. Also recently awarded and yet to get under way is the reconstruction of a collapsed road bridge, on private property near Longniddry. In the current competitive market, the company is delighted to have been awarded this work, for a mixture of existing and new clients.

The Building Division has been awarded a contract to construct a new eight-bedroomed respite care centre in Edinburgh, for the City of Edinburgh Council. Work on this £1.25m project will commence in the very near future, and will be completed at the start of 2010. Construction Director Jock Laidlaw said "It is very satisfying to have been awarded such a significant contract from a key client, and the site team are looking forward to getting started".
