ERDC HAND OVER ANOTHER PITCH AHEAD OF PROGRAMME IN YORKSHIRE

ERDC proudly hand over another pitch ahead of programme, this time at the Hungerhill School in Doncaster. The project marks the 20th school sports project undertaken throughout the UK by ERDC in the period 2007/2008 alone.

Works to construct the sand dressed pitch which included earthworks, drainage, base works, fencing, floodlighting and landscaping were started in Spring this year and completed on 11 June 2008, just in time for the school sports day. Accepting the pitch on behalf of the school was Steph Morritt, who said ' we are all so very impressed with the pitch, this is absolutely fantastic, we couldn't believe how quickly and smoothly the works went. We definitely made the correct choice'.

Acting on behalf of the client, Richard McGregor of Steve Wells Associates said 'considering that ERDC had to plan and operate around a restricted area and deal with challenging access issues the site team carried out operations very smoothly and efficiently'. Referring to the engineering tolerances ERDC achieved Richard also went on to say 'this pitch is one of the best I have ever surveyed'.

With a dedicated production team and in-house civil engineering and installation teams ERDC have the confidence to effectively programme and resource projects which in turn gives clients peace of mind that their new project will be completed as quickly as possible, to the highest of safety standards and to the very highest levels of quality.

All at ERDC wish the staff and pupils of Hungerhill School many happy years of enjoyment with the pitch.
