To promote the start of the FA Cup season the FA brought the cup to Blessed Thomas Holford Catholic College and the cup was shown on their recently installed FieldTurf pitch.
Students made donations to charities in return for having their picture taken with the widely celebrated trophy.
Sports Director, Caroline Pearson, said: "This was a fantastic opportunity for the pupils and hopefully to be photographed with the cup will inspire them to get to Wembley one day themselves. With it here they were really able to see what they can work towards and aim for."
Head Teacher, John Cornally said: "It’s great to see the Cup here and this caps off a great period of events that have taken place at our college".
Earlier in the year the FieldTurf pitch was used by the England football squad before they flew out for their Euro 2008 qualifier against Russia. The pitch constructed by the ERDC Group was given great reviews by the England Team, Phil Neville said, "Everyone loved training on it and in terms of the trueness of the surface it was fantastic".
