Environmental considerations in construction have become more prominent in recent years with sustainability a major topic.

Accordingly The ERDC Group has developed an Environmental Policy, and supporting Environmental Management System, which has been assessed by an external auditor (BM Trada) as complying with the requirements of BS EN ISO14001. This is now being implemented throughout the Group, until sufficient records have been produced to allow a full registration audit to be carried out. In line with the requirements of ISO14001. Targets have been established which aim for measured improvements in performance in key areas, such as energy consumption, generation of waste, and control of emissions.
